Algerian Army Chief of Staff Said Chengriha on Thursday met with visiting Director of the Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugaev to discuss bilateral military and technical cooperation.
The meeting took place at the headquarters of Algerian People’s National Army in the capital Algiers, where the two sides also discussed regional and international issues of common interest, said the Algerian Defense Ministry in a statement quoted by the state-owned news agency APS.
This is Shugaev’s third visit to Algeria in 15 months after his previous ones in March and November 2022.
Algeria and Russia are working on diversifying their bilateral cooperation characterized by strong military ties.
