Egypt and China Collaborate on Green Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Projects

North Abu Qir for Agricultural Nutrients and China Energy Engineering Corp have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a green hydrogen project at the premises of the Egyptian company, as confirmed by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on October 27th.

Additionally, another MoU was signed between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and the Chinese delegation to leverage renewable energy resources at various oil and natural gas sites across Egypt.

This development occurred during a meeting between Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla and Chairman of China Energy Engineering Corp, Song Hailiang, and his delegation. The discussions revolved around bolstering collaboration in the areas of petrochemicals, green hydrogen, and energy transformation technologies.
