Azerbaijan, Morocco Discuss Cooperation in Field of Justice


As part of his visit to Morocco, Azerbaijan`s Deputy Justice Minister Toghrul Musayev has met with this country`s Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi on the sidelines of the second meeting of the Joint Commission on bilateral cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The sides discussed the development of relations of friendship and cooperation between the two states, the special role of the country’s leaders in strengthening these ties, and the prospects for the joint activity in the legal field.

Toghrul Musayev brought to the Moroccan minister`s attention that Azerbaijan`s occupied territories were liberated and sovereignty was fully ensured under the leadership of President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. He highlighted the destruction of Azerbaijani cities and villages, religious and cultural heritage, as well as the ongoing large-scale restoration and construction works in those lands.

Emphasizing that Morocco attaches great importance to comprehensive cooperation with Azerbaijan, Minister Ouahbi noted that his country always supports the country`s rightful position at the international level.

He stressed the importance of deepening relations in the field of justice, application of digital innovations and exchange of experience in other areas. The Moroccan minister welcomed Azerbaijani side`s initiative to adopt a new cooperation program between the two countries` justice ministries.
