Ministry of Marine Resources Discusses With Algerian Company Sakomas Cooperation in Shipbuilding and Maintenance

The Ministry of Marine Resources reported last Tuesday that the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Maritime Fisheries and the Director of the Office of International Cooperation at the Ministry received its Tripoli headquarters, Ben Oudia Nour Al-Islam, General Manager of the Algeria company, Sakomas.

The company specialises in building and maintaining ships and is a member of the Algerian Association for Fishing on the High Seas.

A meeting was held on the side-lines of this visit in which aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of maintaining and building fishing vessels of all kinds were reviewed.

The possibility of establishing a partnership in this field and cooperation in establishing centres for building and maintaining fishing vessels in Libyan ports, in addition to exchanging experiences and visits, were also discussed.
