The spokesman for Egypt’s Health and Population Ministry Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar said on Tuesday that the ministry is fully prepared for the Eid al-Fitr, period.
He continued by saying: “coronavirus is still present, and for this reason, citizens should adhere to wearing facemasks and to remain in places with good ventilation and to stay away from crowded areas, especially on Eid days.”
During a phone-in with TV host Youssef al-Husseini on his show “Ninth” on Channel One of state-TV, Abdel-Ghaffar said that: “citizens must adhere to a balanced diet and continuously check expiry dates of goods. He also focused on making sure to adhere to the directives of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.”
He emphasized the provision of medicines, medical supplies and blood bags in hospitals. This is very important as well as having a good number of ambulances ready for emergencies, in order to preserve the lives of citizens.
