Morocco’s club Wydad Casablanca is set to lock horns with South Africa’s Sundowns in the second leg of the final of the African Super League 2023.
Wydad advanced to the final after starting its journey in the championship by overtaking Nigerian Enyimba in the quarter-finals with a sweeping 4-0 win after the first and second leg matches.
Wydad then defeated Esperance de Tunis of Tunisia 5-4 on penalties in the semifinals after the first and second legs ended in a 1-1 draw.
As for Sundowns, they began their journey in the African League by registering a 2-0 win against Petro de Luanda from Angola. They then defeated Egypt’s Al Ahly in the semifinals, winning both games 1-0.
The first leg of the Wydad vs Sundowns African Football League final took place on Sunday, November 5, at the Mohamed V Stadium in Casablanca, the home ground of Wydad.
The second leg will be played on Saturday at 2 PM Moroccan time at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, the home ground of the Sundowns.
The match will be broadcast online through beIN Sports accounts on social media or via the Shahid app; it will also be broadcast on Arryadia TNT.
