Campaign Launched to Aid Gaza Students in Egypt

Media personality Mai Yaqoubi took to Instagram to actively participate in a campaign dedicated to assisting students from Gaza who find themselves stranded in Egypt, unable to communicate with their families in the besieged region amidst ongoing attacks by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).

Highlighting the plight of approximately 4,000 Gazan students stuck in Egypt, Yaqoubi emphasized the critical need for support, especially given the communication blockade preventing them from connecting with their families in Gaza.

The Palestinian Charity Society has issued a call for donations, urging those with the means to contribute to assist these stranded students. Donations can be made to account number (101004438001), with options for cash deposits at the Bank of Alexandria or via the bank’s automated withdrawal machines.a

Simultaneously, various Egyptian civil society organizations are mobilizing, under government supervision, to coordinate relief efforts in solidarity with the Gaza Strip. The joint efforts aim to alleviate the challenges faced by Gazan students and reinforce the broader support network for those affected by the ongoing crisis.
